(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
or dua to pirs or saints etc

This is because there is strong evidence that these types of dua are acts of shirk which could nullify a persons Islam

Shirk means directing worship to anyone other than Allaah, and du’aa’ comes under the heading of worship which must be devoted to Allaah alone and not directed to anyone else. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Du’aa’ is worship.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2969; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani inSaheeh al-Tirmidhi.”

In many verses of the Qur’an we find evidence to support this scholarly view:

“And the mosques are for Allaah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allaah” [al-Jinn 72:18]

“Such is Allaah, your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmeer (the thin membrane over the date stone).

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call; and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad) like Him Who is the All Knower (of everything)”
[Faatir 35:13-14]

Allaah described calling upon anyone other than Him, such as the dead, idols, the jinn or the angels, as shirk or the association of others in worship with Him. He said: “And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the males among the jinn, but they (jinn) increased them (mankind) in sin and transgression” [al-Jinn 72:6]

“And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allaah, any other ilaah (god), of whom he has no proof; then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely, AlKaafiroon (the disbelievers in Allaah and in the Oneness of Allaah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters) will not be successful”[al-Mu’minoon 23:117]

The Muslim must beware of that and must seek help from Allaah alone and ask from Him alone, for He is Sufficient and He is Able to do all things. Allaah is the One Who says (interpretation of the meaning): “And your Lord said: ‘Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism) and ask Me for anything] I will respond to your (invocation)’”[Ghaafir 40:60]

“And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright[al-Baqarah 2:186]

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If you ask of anyone, then ask of Allaah, and if you seek help, then seek help from Allaah.” “Verily, Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, has indeed strayed far away” [al-Nisa’ 4:116]

“Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode” [al-Maa’idah 5:72]

It is said by scholars that if someone commits shirk and then repents whilst they are alive, then Allah might forgive them, but if they die and have not been forgiven for the shirk then they will abide in the hellfire for eternity.  Pure Muslim Matchs service is only for Muslims who have not nullified their Islam.  We tell you all of this out of genuine care for you and we hope the best for you in this life and the next. Ameen.

Who runs this site?

Pure Muslim Match is run by Muslims who are upon Qur'an and Sunnah.  Our number one priority is keeping the service halal.  Pleasing Allah with the way we run the service is very important to us.

Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you)”

[al-Anfaal 8:27]

“Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, to whom they are due”

[an-Nisa’ 4:58].

Is it really 100% free?

Don't worry, when we say its free we mean it. There are no hidden fees.  The service is 100% free.

How diverse are the members?

Our members are very diverse.  We have members who are English, American, Pakistani, Moroccan, Kenyan, Palestinian, Bangladeshi, Saudi, and many other members from other backgrounds too.  We have Dr's, engineers, drivers, IT professionals, black, white, brown... One of the things they all members have in common is that they are practising Muslims, Alhamdulillah.

In Soorat al-Hujuraat Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has al-taqwa [i.e., is one of the muttaqoon or pious]. Verily, Allaah is All-Knowing, All-Aware”

[al-Hujuraat 49:13]

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is reported to have said: “O people! Verily your Lord is One and your father [Adam] is one. An Arab is no better than a non-Arab, and a non-Arab is no better than an Arab; a red man is no better than a black man and a black man is no better than a red man – except if it is in terms of taqwa (piety)…”

Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 22391; al-Silsilat al-Saheeh, 2700).

How do you know the members are practising?

most likely  We let everyone know that this service is only for practising Muslims who pray 5x a day.  We also ask them to provide a character reference.

When two members begin talks and then progress to the stage that they want to exchange contact details the Muslima would need to involve her mahram at this stage, if she had not already done so beforehand.  We then perform a background check on both members (with their permission.)

This would be to confirm their identity, their address and basically make sure they are who they say they are. We would also phone the person who provided their character reference and perform other background checks too.  The way this service is operating its not really the type of service which non-practising Muslims are interested in, because we don't facilitate any free mixing, the brothers are only going to get as far as the Wali/Mahram and so it is quite pointless for a non-practising Muslim to join.  If a non-practising Muslim joined they will just end up wasting their time and hit a brick wall when the Wali performs his duty of protecting the woman under his care.  Likewise, the sisters who are non-practising have no need to come on this website either.  Pure Muslim Match is a waste of time for non-practising Muslims, the service restricts them too much, and the other members (generally speaking) are not interested in non-practising Muslims anyway, so the non-practising Muslim will most likely just end up being rejected in the end.

Its important to make sure you do your due diligence on anyone you consider for marriage.  Check with their community, the Masjids, imams, and your local connections to get references insha'Allah.

How long does it take to find a match?

We search for matches based on what people say they are looking for.  It takes longer to find someone a match if their conditions are very specific.

If someone is flexible about marrying someone who's is older than them, or flexible about marrying outside their own ethnic background, or who is taller than them, then this could greatly increase the success rate of finding a good match.  But if someones search is restricted to marrying from their own ethnicity and they have conditions for example like needing to marry a Dr and they won't accept anyone who's a year older than them then this will most likely take longer to find a match.

Will my information be visible to non-members?

Profiles are password protected.  Someone would need to know the password in order to view a profile.  We only give out the password to people you give us permission to share it with.

Having said this though, it would be a possibility that you give us permission to share your profile password with another member and then that member then gives out your password to someone else who you did not give permission to view your profile.

If you wanted your profile to be kept more private from being seen by others after you share it with 1 member, you can request that we confirm with the member that they won’t share it with anyone else and we can also ask them to confirm when they have read your profile and we can then change your password afterwards so that it can not be viewed by them again (or anyone else who doesn’t have the new password you set.)

We never display any personal information on profiles (such as phone numbers or email addresses etc.) this information can only be given to another member once you both agree that you are a match and have decided to continue talks outside of our marriage agency service (with the Muslimas mahram involved) and only after both sides pass the background check would we then allow contact details of the wali/mahram and suitor be exchanged via the Muslimas Wali/Mahram.

How will you keep all details confidential?

Nobody has access to anyones details unless the member gives us permission to give out the password to view their profile.  Personal details such as phone numbers or email addresses are never shown on a members profile and these details would only be given out when a member matches with another member and they both request that their contact details are exchanged (the Muslima would need to involve her mahram before we would allow the suitor to have her mahrams contact details)

We keep all your data stored and protected by passwords.  We never give these details to anyone else (unless required by law, i.e. police request etc.)

How are the details kept secure?

We don’t give out any of your details unless you give permission.

It is a free marriage agency service so we have no need to ask for or store members bank account numbers etc.  If someone asks to make a donation to us to help keep the service free for everyone then we would give the donor the option to send us the money via post, Paypal, or bank transfer.  We would not store their payment details on our systems.  It would just be stored on the banks or Paypals system (If the donor chose to donate this way.)
