Questions You May Have
Who runs this site?
Pure Muslim Match is a family owned/run service. We are all practising Muslims who pray 5 times a day and are very trustworthy.
Where are you based?
We are based in Preston (UK)
How will you keep all details confidential?
Nobody has access to anyones details unless the member gives us permission to give out the password to view their profile. Personal details such as phone numbers or email addresses are never shown on a members profile and these details would only be given out when a member matches with another member and they both request that their contact details are exchanged (the Muslima would need to involve her mahram before we would allow the suitor to have her mahrams contact details)
We keep all your data stored and protected by passwords. We never give these details to anyone else (unless required by law, i.e. police request etc.)
How are the details kept secure?
As mentioned above, we only have trustworthy Muslims working on the agency and we don’t give out any of your details unless you give permission.
-It is a free marriage agency service so we have no need to ask for or store members bank account numbers etc. If someone asks to make a donation to us to help keep the service free for everyone then we would give the donor the option to send us the money via post, Paypal, or bank transfer. We would not store their details on our systems. It would just be stored on the banks or Paypals system (If the donor chose to donate this way)
Can you please let me know how diverse the members are?
So far we have members who are Bengali, Pakistani, Moroccan, Palestinian, and other ethnicities too.
You vouch for all the members being practising, how do you figure that out?
We let everyone know that this service is only for practising Muslims. The minimum they must do is pray 5x a day. We also ask them to provide a character reference. When two members begin talks and then progress to the stage that they want to exchange contact details (the Muslima would need to involve her mahram at this stage if she had not already done so beforehand) we then perform a background check on both members (with their permission) This would be to confirm their identity, their address and basically make sure they are who they say they are. We would also phone the person who provided their character reference.
We could take the referencing further but that may not be included in the free service that we offer (i.e. go and meet them, visit their masjid speak to their imam etc.) but this would take up a lot of time and could cost us a lot of money, so we would need to charge for this extra service.
Will my information be visible to non-members?
Profiles are password protected. Someone would need to know the password to view a profile. We only give out the password to people you give us permission to share it with. Saying this though, it would be a possibility that you give us permission to share your profile password with another member and then that member then gives out your password to someone else who you did not give permission to view your profile. If you wanted your profile to be kept private and to minimize it being seen by others after you share it with 1 member, you can ask that we confirm with the member that they won’t share it with anyone else and secondly we can ask them to confirm when they have read your profile and we can then change your password after they have read your profile so that it can not be viewed by them (or anyone else who doesn’t have the new password you set.)
-We never display any personal information on profiles (such as phone numbers or email addresses etc.) this information can only be given to another member once you both agree that you are a match and have decided to continue talks outside of our marriage agency service (with the Muslimas mahram involved) and then only after both sides pass the background check would we then allow contact details to be exchanged.
